Visa: Getting Back on Fake Acai Companies
January 26th, 2010 by admin

Finally, someone has decided to make a move and put a stop to people taking advantage of Acai products. Visa announced that it has reached a decision to close down more than a hundred merchants, which has been proven to sell inferior health products to online consumer. If you want to know if a site can be trusted before doing any transaction with it, you can check with the BBB or the Better Business Bureau.

The proliferation of scam on the Acai berry, which has been started by companies using misleading marketing methods, has been helped to a great degree by the huge media hype centering on the many health benefits of the fruit. No other fruit known to man has the same amount of antioxidants and other nutrients found in concentration on the berry.

As a result, people turned to the Acai berry in the hope to cure all their ailments. This has been taken advantaged by unscrupulous companies, resulting in the scam. Further damage was caused when scam sites published fake endorsements supposedly coming from well known celebrities.

While Acai remains to be the best source of antioxidants at present, many people have lost faith due to the work of scam companies. A desire to restore the faith has prompted the crack down on scammers. It is definitely the case that Visa’s shutdown of acai sellers is move in the right direction, but is it too little too late?
